Airtel Rs 349 recharge plan now offers 2.5GB daily data

Airtel has revised its Rs 199, Rs 349, Rs 448, and Rs 509 recharge packs to up the ante against rival Reliance Jio’s tariff packs that are getting cheaper day by day. The Airtel Rs 199, Rs 448, Rs 509 plans now offer 1.4GB data per day along with unlimited calls and 100 SMSes for the respective validity periods of 28, 82, and 90 days. Besides, Airtel has now upgraded the Rs 349 recharge plan where it now offers 2.5GB data per day, as compared to 2GB data earlier. The remaining benefits including unlimited calls and 100 SMSes per days are the same as before.

The telcos are constantly upping their efforts to win the tariff war started by the upstart Reliance Jio. Airtel aims to counter Jio’s Rs 198 pack, Rs 448, and Rs 498 recharge packs that offer 1.5GB 4G data for 28, 84, and 91 days, respectively. However, while the Jio data plans come with a data cap after which the Internet speed is reduced, Airtel’s plans don’t have a data speed cap. The Airtel plans come with only the given data benefits, without low-speed unlimited data after the high-speed data is exhausted.
